South Texas Wound Associates, PA (WoundDoctors) is now accepting new patients for tele-visits. If you are unable to come to the clinic due to COVID-19, you can schedule your tele-visit with one of our providers.

After we receive your request, we will get in touch with you as soon as possible. The patients will then receive a link through WoundReference TeleVisit by email. Click on the link to access the Intake Form. Patient will be prompted to create a WoundReference Free Basic Account if you do not have an account. WoundReference is a HIPPA secure App which allows us to submit and receive documents like copy of your insurance cards, medical records, wound pictures and other documents securely.
After the appointement is set up, the patient will receive a sms link on their smartphone with the date, time and name of the provider for the video tele-visit. At the time of the appointment, the patient will click on the sms/email link, “Agree” to the informed consent and then will be able to start the video sesssion with the doctor/provider.
It is best for patients to use a device (laptop, computer, tablet or Android/Apple smarphone) connected to the internet, with build-in microphone and camera.

Is there a fee for nursing home or home health agency to use STWA (wounddoctors) for Telehealth Services?
STWA will bill the patient’s insurance directly so there is no fee to Nursing Home or Home Health Agency for using our Telehealth services.
What happens if a patient is in the nursing home or home health under capitated arrangement?
STWA will charge home health or nursing home Medicare fee schedule rates for capitated insurance patients.
Is there a charge for once a month zoom team meeting call for coordination with medical director and multidisplinary team?
No, this is free of cost
What happens if a patient needs debridement or other services?
Debridement can be done by one of our providers at the facility or at Northeast Baptist or Mission Trail Baptist wound care clinics. Other services will be referred out if they are not available in the nursing home.
